Car dealers

The contract says more than you agreed to.

Add-ons slipped into the financing, a price that moved at signing, a trade-in worth less on paper, a used car with a history nobody mentioned. We read the whole deal jacket: the contract, the finance paperwork and the ads.

Common signs

  • A warranty, coating or service plan you don’t remember choosing

  • A monthly payment higher than the one you were quoted

  • Paperwork you were asked to sign before reading it

  • A car sold as clean that turned out to have a history

What we check

  • The contract against the ad

Price, payment and terms as advertised, against what you signed.

  • Every add-on, line by line

What each charge is, whether you chose it and what it adds to your payment.

  • The car’s history

Reports, repair records and what the dealer knew when it sold the car.

Questions about a car deal

I already signed. Is it too late?

Not necessarily. Some claims run for years, but some deadlines are short. The sooner you send the paperwork, the more options you have.

How do I get a copy of what I signed?

Ask the dealer for the full deal jacket in writing, including the finance contract and every add-on form. We can send that request for you.

Can they repossess the car while we sort this out?

That depends on your contract and the lender. If you get a repossession notice, call us the same day.

Send us what you signed.

We go through it page by page and quote the review fee in writing.

A flat fee is quoted in writing before any work starts.
